Scott Mann MP hosts breeding discussion at the House Of Commons

On Wednesday 24th October, a group of industry specialists got together to discuss breeding strategies and meeting the future supply chain requirements. The lunch was hosted by Scott Mann MP (chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group of Dairy) at the House of Commons and was attended by MP's, farmers and industry professions.

A main point of discussion was the 'Ultimate Breeding Strategy' of industry professionals endorsing the Sexed and Beef strategy to decrease the number of dairy bred bull calves born on farm each year. With new advancements in sexed semen technology, this is now a viable option for many farmers to make more of a profit year on year.
